I think you can join every race apart from the events which take place at the Rockingham track.

To join you just have to join the server on time. You can find the password for the server below this chatbox.

Hey guys! Would like to ask about upcoming race. Was trying different setups, found some of them, say, drivable)) but the problem is that tyres die in 5 laps (r2), while there is a set using r3, and these last more than I can drive without meeting a wall)
So my question(s): is it possible to run the race at r2? If yes, can someone share to me the set I could use for this. If no, can I simply change tyres type, and leave the rest of a set as is, will it work?

take the prime tyre. if r2 is the softest of all, r3 is needed for the race pretty sure.

Here is the set I use at the moment. Didn't have much practice yet, but tyre settings seems fine (you should use R3/R3 for this race imo). Not sure about wing settings though.

r2 fronts are out of the question but r2 rears are possible but if they go about 109 in surface temperature, they are an absolute nightmare, which you can do with a couple of spins.

wow! Thanks a lot for your set again, Mondbot!
For me it seems like I can run the whole race on r2 with it. Tried long session, run 13 laps before I met a wall, but was doing laps within 0.5s from my PB till the end, while PB was set at 11th lap. Rear tyres were at high 90s, while front were somewhere in mid 00s. Car remained pretty stable. Will try to run the race like this))

Changed up the setup I have been using with less preload on the final drive, seems quite stable. Be very careful witht he throttle as some small changes can upset the car, but its saveable

By chance I noticed neat feature:
It is possible to use colors in setup names.
In garage select a setup, click rename, then hold ALT to show color picker. Works same way as driver names.

I uploaded all sets from this thread to https://www.lfs.net/account/setups/team

and set it for quali/race and the right combo and added a note for its original author.
At the moment the permission is set to "team". I just don't know how you can gain access to this 'team'
Maybe we can have some sort of AB team on lfsworld so we can upload our sets there.
