The race opened smoothly for most of the drivers except for one. Daniel, who had started well up the grid in 4th got quickly passed by Migpha and Space as they came out of T1. Daniel found himself side by side with toberkel as they approached the tight chicane. Neither driver would back off as they went through the tight corners trading some paint in the process. The slight bumping sent Daniel wide and onto the grass. Although he recovered nicely he found himself in P16 a few corners later with a lot of work to do if he wanted to score some good points.

xx151 also had some contact with Deivi going into T1. Although the bump seemed minor, it sent xx151 off the track and into the gravel leaving him nearly in last place.

It didn't take long for the high speed chicane to make its mark on the race. On lap 2 LRK-racer missed his mark a bit and had a brush with the tires. The contact only held him up slightly but the delay was more than enough for Mazdarati to make good his pass into P1.

By the time lap 3 got underway it was clear that Mazdarati and LRK-racer were going to be the only cars battling for the win as they had opened up a 4 second gap on the rest of the field. Camoradi, who had been enjoying a comfortable lead over his main rival Vennie found himself running wide onto the grass. By the time he got back up to speed several cars had passed him and he found himself just in front of Vennie. As he raced down the straight to begin lap 4, Vennie out dragged him to the chicane and took over P11. A few corners later Camoradi took advantage of Vennie avoiding a struggling GeneralPurpose and got the position back.

Unfortunately for Camoradi he ran wide off the track in T1 on the next lap and gave the spot back.


AkuLambat throws away a good finish as he fails to negotiate the high speed chicane safely.

As the race approached the halfway mark, AkuLambat was pushing hard to try to get his car into a podium spot. As he chased Migpha (P3) he got the deadly chicane all wrong and found his car on its side with his race coming to an abrupt end. The mishap vaulted Linde into P4 who was determined to reach the podium himself.


Linde had his eye on a podium spot until he took out the tires in the slower but equally difficult chicane.

Linde's euphoria was short lived as he found the tire barriers in T3 and found himself up against the concrete wall. With his hopes of a podium dashed he decided to retire.

With only 5 laps to go, Daniel, had crept up on the back of toberkel and was hoping to get past. Toberkel made it easy as he ran wide onto the grass in T1 and dropped back to P6. Daniel had made a great recovery working himself all the way back to P4 after being shuffled back to P16 early in the race.

Norbert was disappointed to receive a "STOP AND GO" penalty taking him out of contention for a top finish. As he served his penalty on lap 16 he watched Daniel, toberkel, Vennie and Camoradi speed by. To make matters worse his stop was deemed to be too short and he was made to repeat the penalty.

The final lap proved to be the undoing for Vennie. He lost control off his car and slammed it violently into the wall damaging his car. That was all the break that Camoradi needed as he jumped ahead into P6, more importantly solidifying his 3rd position in the championship.

Mazdarati crossed the finish line to claim the final win of the season but with LRK-racer following behind in 2nd the championship was handed over to a new driver. LRK-racer claimed his new crown with a 6 point gap to Mazdarati. Camoradi hung on to his Bronze super medal with an even smaller margin of 4 points.

Congratulations to LRK-racer on his first Super Gold medal. Mazdarati had owned the trophy for the past 3 consecutive seasons and was a difficult opponent to de-throne.

As far as the constructors championship was concerned things remained the same with the team of Mazdarati and Daniel (Tortoise and Hare Racing) retaining the title for a record 13 consecutive seasons. When LRK-racer was asked about his plans for next season on defending his championship he indicated that he now had set his sights higher and was actively looking for a partner that he could team up with that would challenge THR on their unprecedented string of titles.
