I think you can join every race apart from the events which take place at the Rockingham track.

To join you just have to join the server on time. You can find the password for the server below this chatbox.

Good luck!

Hi, I am new here, and I have some questions.
Which near races are for S2 licence and how to join them?

Hi all, i would have some "beginners" questions, too.

As i'm working on my setup for the upcoming s2 event (mrt at fe1) i'm just not sure if my set ist as good as it could get. Especially the total amount of damping and ride height is a point where i think i might not have very good settings. I do get the point of setting dampings relatively to each other to get a neutral handling though, and my car is actually pretty stable (considering it's the mrt). ( I use the Vehicle Handling and Performance Analyzer for this)
Is it a good aproach to look for critical damping? In a way that NO oscillation occures (this looks like too much damping)? or in a way that exactly ONE oscillation takes place?
Also, how would it be best to look for the lowest possible ride-height? (considering fe1 is a rather bumpy course) Use Replay Analyzer??

Thanks in advance for any thoughts on this! (b)

Are you sure of considering your question as "novice question"?
I don't believe that ANY of us/setup-makers goes that deep into setuping

Hehe - i'm just trying to get my set as good as possible. To me this looks like a convenient way to improve my times 8-|
maybe I should work on my driving instead then... Thank you anyways for your quick replies!

benGesaess VHPA is good way to start but damping itself is more like fine tuning... also you need some good telemetry software like f1perfview where you can check wheelspin and wheel lockup of individual wheels also you can check how much 'spare' spring movement you have left end lower car with this data. but i would say most important thing is to get car nice to drive first so you have confidence to push and i would say 90% of setup is springs arbs differential and wheels (camber pressures toe), then you can check telemetry and tweak it further

also: driving style, knowledge of the track and car is what get you most time gain, litteraly any setup will take you 1-2,5s (depending of track) to leaders time and the rest is up to setup

thanks for your tips Aid,

I actually managed to get just below WR+1s a few days ago I do consider this a very good time for my skillz. Anyway I'm just not sure if tuning of my set is going to make me any faster, or if it is (a bit by coincidence) rather good already!
unfortunately no sets for this track/car on team Inferno/Setupgrid to compare...

so i will have a closer look at f1perfview!
