I think you can join every race apart from the events which take place at the Rockingham track. To join you just have to join the server on time. You can find the password for the server below this chatbox.
Good luck!

I have three main problems with the current system. 1: The penalties are not proportionate to the scoring system and remained when the points per race were heavily increased a few years ago. 2: Certain drivers have been doing the same bad behaviour for many years. An ineffective penalty system just puts off good drivers. 3: The current state of the midfield's driving behaviour is the worst it's ever been since I joined. Here are the current penalties 1. - racing incident - no penalty. 2. - warning - no deduction. 3. - mild infraction - 5p. 4. - reckless driving - 15p. 5. - very serious infraction - 30p deduction + possible other restrictions. 6. - pitlane start. A driver that received 3 warnings in a season will get a 5 points deduction. Warnings will be registered per league (e.g. S2 League, Formula League, Le Mans League) in the Race incidents / complaints section of the forum. At the end of each season all warnings will be set to zero. My issue with this is that is uses subjective terms like "mild, reckless and very serious" One persons mild might be another's reckless. The other is that 3 warnings is too lenient. It should be reduced to a limit of one. My suggestions are 1: Causing T1 carnage like we saw at the UFR and FOX races should be penalised with a pit lane start. 2: If you do not apply the brake pedal in a crash, you should be disqualified from the race. That is unacceptable and beyond the level of a mistake. 3: A table of examples of offences that fall into each category should be drawn up for clarity. 4: Make a new minor penalty for bad behaviour around blue flags. On both sides. With an exemption for class 4 being lapped so that only an advisory note to help new people is made. 5:: Fixed point reduction should be replaced by % of points at either racers final position or racers position when incident took place. Whichever is higher. This is to make it more of a onus for experienced drivers to behave better. So an example of the structure would be Warning: 1 allowed before compulsory penalty. If someone gets a higher penalty they also lose their warning. Pitlane Start: For causing an incident on first turn plus penalty dependent on severity. Low Level: 25% of points Medium Level: 50% of points High level: 100% of points/DSQ. % of points at either racers final position or racers position when incident took place. Whichever is higher. Also, some drivers care more about a general standings and some just about winning the race, so the penality should have effect on both aspects, but mainly making a driver who behaves badly to loose positions.

Registered Member #89 Joined: Sun Jun 01 2008, 09:58amPosts: 2637 | We had a look at the current penalty system made some significant changes based on the arguments raised by Englishlord. From now on penalty points will be a percentage of the points given at the position of the moment the incident happened or the points given at the finish, whichever is higher. Also lap 1 incidents may now be penalized with a pitlane start for the next event. 10 penalty points will be handed out to a driver that receives his second warning in a season, instead of the previous 5 points after 3 warnings. In addition the phrase about blue/yellow flags in the racing rules has been expanded a bit. The full racing rules can be found here. The updated parts are also below, with the updates/additions being italic. Possible Penalties 1. - racing incident - no penalty 2. - warning - no deduction 3. - mild infraction 25%* of points 4. - reckless driving 50%* of points 5. - very serious infraction 100%* of points (DSQ) *The percentage of penalty points will be deducted from the points collected by the racer at the end of the race or at the moment the incident took place, whichever is higher. Incomplete numbers will be round up above to a whole number. A pitlane start (for his next race) will be handed out to any driver that causes a severe lap 1 incident where he failed to adjust his speed and/or line to the cars around him. A driver that received 2 warnings in a season will get a 10 points deduction. Every warning after the 2nd warning will result in 10 penalty points. Warnings will be registered per league (e.g. S3 League, Formula League, Le Mans League) in the Race incidents / complaints section of the forum. At the end of each season all warnings will be set to zero. Flags Always respect blue or yellow flags. If you get a blue flag, this means a faster driver will lap you. Please let this faster driver pass you swiftly and without any hindrance. The lapped driver must not make any sudden line changes which conflicts with the nature of the track. In corners, you don't have to leave your driving line, but let lapping car pass as soon as you can at a straight section of the track. The lapping driver must not force his way around the lapped driver and must act predictable while overtaking. If you get a yellow flag some kind of accident has occurred in front of you. If it is necessary, lift your foot from the throttle to avoid even more accidents. Passing another car under yellow flag conditions is prohibited. If you pass someone while under a yellow flag by accident, please be sporty and give him his position back. Bad behaviour around blue/yellow flags or incidents regarding blue/yellow flag situations may be filed at the BoT. Incidents will be investigated and may be penalized according to the severity of the incident. A class 4 driver that shows questionable behaviour while being lapped may receive an advisory note instead of a penalty. If there are any questions concerning the updated rules please leave a note here. [ Edited Sat May 12 2018, 07:05pm ]
